ULTIMATE SUSPENSION VALVING

The Victorian Cross Country series has been a wonderful testing environment. At 3 hours duration a combination of forest, grass track, MX jumps and endless rutted turns where tree roots become exposed is the ultimate for testing and development.

As the track whoops out severe acceleration and braking bumps develop and on some courses there is just no letup. Stiff suspension doesn't work as you tire out too quickly. Soft gives no control and you just can't go fast.

Race team feedback has motivated our suspension to be developed over the last 8 years with endless testing. (1000's of hours development).

Our suspension has developed using stiffer spring rates and more compliant initial valving to absorb tree roots and square edg ed bumps up to 8 - 10" (and of course - rocks). Complex rebound valving was then developed to allow the suspension to recover for the next bump without becoming unstable in extreme conditions.

Husky example

The 98 to 02 Husqvarna 250/360WR uses a 5.4 kg/mm rear spring. Normally set at 25mm static sag and 100mm race sag for the average 75kg-80kg rider.

Jaydee stage 2 valves uses a 5.8kg/mm spring (even stiffer than the stock CR spring) but with dramatically different shock valving - The result is a much plusher initial ride quality with a big increase in bottoming resistance. Mid stroke kicks on logs and braking bumps is eliminated.

Jaydee stage 3 valving uses our own billet piston head assembly based on a modified WP race part used by factory riders in Mick Doohan's day. Dimensions have been optimised for our dirt bike spring rates and for the Sachs shocker. This setup can handle any rider speed. Trail rider to pro-expert from 75 t o 90kg riders by setting static sag and compression clickers. Amazing ride quality.

HONDA XR400 (ALL MODELS)
Stiffer fork springs. WP piston heads filled to Honda cartridge to upgrade fork feel to European standards with full valving.
Re-valved rear shock to suit upgraded forks.
Dual stage rebound and compression shimming used.

BENEFITS - 65 to 90kg riders. A slight loss in low speed compliance is the only draw back. Soon as you hit rough bumps, logs, tree roots and high country spoon drains, you can comfortably cruise one gear higher in all rough conditions. Totally predictable. No wallowing. Sits higher. No over bounce. Better braking. Better stability. Better grip. Doesn't kick on logs.

Jaydee settings also developed for:
KTM125, 250, 300 etc.
400, 450, 520, 525, etc.
All models.

Husaberg 400 '03 Stage 1 and 2 available. Huge improvement on square edge bumps, tree roots, etc. Floats over rough ground with much more confidence. Front end push reduced. 50% plusher in the first 1/4 of the stroke with more bottoming resistance than stock. Great result. Handles better than a KTM.
