Jaydee Gold discs

These discs were developed in house during 96 to 98 as the result of muddy events causing havoc on our factory discs for the trade team bikes.

Twenty or so used discs were studied to understand the wear patterns because of slot shape and many different materials were tried.

The result is unbelievable wearing discs (minimum of 3 times the wear) with better feel than standard.

< B>BRAKE PADS

Our testing has shown an amazing difference in performance, feel, wear rate and disc wear by going from one brake pad compound to the next. After completing back to back testing on most brands of pads in all conditions we can highly recommend Dunlopad Pads for superior feel and wear. Here is a quick summary of Jaydee recommendations.

The following information is to be taken as a guide only and may vary from bike to bike and riding conditions.
Front pads
Choice Brand/compound Reasons
1st Dunlopad SDP Excellent feel, high stopping power, good wet performance. Doesn't transfer heat into fluid. Doesn't squeal.
2nd Braking SM15 Excellent feel, faster wear than SDP, ideal for light bikes i.e. 125's. Not recommended in mud, as seems to dissolve in gritty conditions.
Rear pads
Choice Brand/compound Reasons
1st Dunlopad SDP Fantastic feel, less prone to lock. Wears well and doesn't squeal. Doesn't, transfer heat into fluid. Not recommended in gritty mud conditions but ok in rain.
2nd Dunlopad DP Excellent feel, fantastic wear, best pad to use in gritty mud conditions and still ok on the disc. 1st choice in winter
3rd Braking CM44 or SM11 Ok in mud, not much feel, but wears OK. Faster wear than DP
4th Braking SM15M or SM11 Summer only. Kind on disc for price sensitive applications.
